The eduroam-US team has been working hard on enhancing the eduroam-US test infrastructure including experimentation with new features such as EAP-TLS authentication. During the testing it became clear that EAP-PEAP on Windows behaves much more nicely when the certificate of the remote RADIUS server can be validated.

The eduroam-US team is excited to announce the first draft of the eduroam Technical Overview. This guide is meant as a high-level overview of the technologies used in eduroam and to explain communication and routing within the eduroam network. This is a draft and will likely see numerous updates in the coming weeks and months, but should act as a good starting point for existing members of eduroam-US, as well as those interested in joining who would simply like further information about the network.

Thank you to Samuel Petreski from Georgetown University for contributing documentation on configuration of Juniper's Steel-Belted RADIUS server for connecting to eduroam-US. The instructions are very complete and should help any new institutions using Juniper along quite nicely.
As always, if you follow any of the instructions on the site and have any contributions please feel free to contact the eduroam-US team!
